Following a competitive public tendering process, DHR Communications has been chosen by Irish Aid to promote and administer the Simon Cumbers Media Challenge Fund for 2010 and 2011.
The Fund is aimed at promoting more and better media coverage of development issues. It was established by Irish Aid in 2005, a little over a year after the tragic death of Irish journalist Simon Cumbers, while he was working for the BBC in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to the Simon Cumbers Media Challenge Fund, DHR Communications has recently been awarded contracts with Samaritans Ireland, Clúid Housing Association, the Myasthenia Gravis Association, The Model and the British Council (Ireland).
DHR has also announced the appointment of Noomi Egan as account executive. Noomi completed an internship with DHR Communications last year, working with the company on the delivery of Africa Day 2009. She has previously worked with the business-to-business charity Connect Ethiopia.
